The Deli

The Durango Natural Foods Deli is a beloved community favorite. With a talented staff of cooks, wholesome ingredients, and a great deal of care invested in our kitchen and in your food, you’ll be able to taste what makes us so special.

Whether you come seeking Grandma Chung’s famous Kung Pao Tofu, one of our delicious weekday lunch specials, or a morning pick-me-up of locally roasted fair-trade coffee with a warm agave-sweetened muffin, our Deli has something for everyone.

And, because we know how hectic lives can get, we are now offering even more meals and snacks in the Grab-n-Go section. Keep an eye out for salmon nori rolls, homemade pesto, cupcakes and veggie pot stickers, to name just a few!

The Deli is open 8am-6pm Monday through Friday and 11am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.

Sandwiches

Stop by the Deli counter to order a freshly made sandwich. Our pesto, hummus and salsa are always made from scratch in the deli, and our sprouts, greens and veggies are fresh, organic and locally grown whenever possible. Additionally, our meats are the highest quality and often local, such as the James Ranch roast beef.

Add a cup of today’s soup and you have the perfect, nutritious meal on the go!

Juice Bar

In our Deli Juice Bar, we use the very same fruits and veggies you’ll find in our Produce Department. Our ingredients are always organic and locally grown whenever possible.

Try the Green Goddess, juiced to order with crisp carrots, ginger, parsley, spinach and kale. Or, order a smoothie full of ripe berries, bananas and any extras you desire. Toss in some bee pollen or flax oil, or add a bit of jalapeno or lime to your juice.
We also offer freshly juiced wheatgrass shots, made from wheatgrass grown just a couple blocks away at Turtle Lake Refuge.

Meat and Cheese

In addition to the soups, salads, sandwiches and smoothies made right here in the Deli, DNF also carries an extensive selection of gourmet, raw, organic, imported and local cheeses. Be sure to try some delicious herbed goat cheese or local James Ranch Ewephoria Sheep Cheese. And, check out the dairy-free and vegan cheeses in the Cheese and Grab-n-Go case as well!

We also carry a wide variety of organic, free range and all natural meats ranging from uncured turkey bacon to whole organic chickens.
